One Arrested In Massage Parlor Prostitution Sting

The owner of Healing Touch Massage, in Cumming, could face multiple charges when he returns from an out-of-state trip.

CUMMING, GA — One woman was arrested and a business owner faces a list of possible charges after an undercover prostitution sting at a Cumming massage parlor.

On Monday, an undercover deputy was offered sex acts for money by an employee of Healing Touch Massage, at 1525 McFarland Pkwy., according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Eun Kang, a 44 year-old woman, was charged with prostitution and taken to the Forsyth County Detention Center, where she was released on a $3,300 cash bond.

The owner of the parlor, Jeoung Gyu Shin, is out of state and has agreed to meet with deputies when he returns, according to the sheriff's office. He faces possible criminal charges under multiple county ordinances.

They include requirements that patrons use a massage business's front door, that employees must be fully clothed, that beds are not permitted in massage rooms and that employee and customer-service records must be kept at the business.

Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman, who took office this month, is working with county commissioners in hopes of crafting an ordinance that would revoke the business license of any business caught harboring prostitution, the sheriff's office said in a news release.
