Forsyth OKs nonprofit's move into old Freedom Mill (appenmedia.com) — Forsyth County commissioners have approved Bennett's Bridge, a life-skills nonprofit for adults with disabilities, to move into the former Freedom Mill site on Spot Road in Cumming. The new center will offer day programs that teach everyday skills like cooking, money management, and exercise, aiming to better support Cumming-area residents with disabilities and strengthen community connections.
   

2. Inside the 2027 North Georgia Cattle Baron's Ball (ccr-mag.com) — A new North Georgia Cattle Baron's Ball is coming to Reid Barn in Cumming on Saturday, February 27, 2027, raising money for the American Cancer Society. The Western-themed night will feature food, drinks, dancing, auctions, and local business leaders, with opportunities for residents to attend, sponsor, or volunteer in support of cancer research and services.
   

3. Cumming's Denise Quinlan Named 2026 Georgia REALTOR of the Year (metroatlantaceo.com) — Cumming-based real estate agent Denise Quinlan has been named the 2026 Georgia REALTOR of the Year, earning the state association's highest individual honor. Working with Century 21 Results Realty in Cumming, she's recognized for leadership in REALTOR organizations and for community service, including supporting youth and seniors through arts programming.
   

4. Russian national extradited to US for alleged bank fraud scheme (scworld.com) — A major international bank-fraud scheme allegedly targeted employees at companies based in Cumming and Atlanta, where stolen login credentials were used in attempts to siphon millions from U.S. bank accounts. Federal authorities say the Russian suspect, now extradited to the U.S., faces extensive prison time for the sophisticated spoofing and credential-harvesting operation.
