Play At The Park Festival Set For Saturday

The festival in Cumming features kids' activities, family entertainment, vendors and food trucks.

CUMMING, GA — A day of family fun, complete with colorful, high-flying balloon rides, is set for Saturday in Cumming.

The 15th Annual Play At The Park Festival is scheduled for 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at Fowler Park.

Sponsored by Forsyth County Parks and Recreation and the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, the festival will feature kids' activities, family entertainment, vendors and food trucks. A highlight of the festival are the always popular tethered hot-air balloon rides.

The balloon rides are scheduled to run from 1-8 p.m., weather permitting.

Other planned attractions at the festival include a petting zoo, arts and crafts, moonwalks and other children's attractions, train rides, animal adoptions, a playground and a drum circle.

"Our annual Play at the Park event is always a great opportunity for families to spend time together for a day of fun," said Parks & Recreation Director Jim Pryor. "There will be plenty of exciting activities for everyone to enjoy and we are looking forward to another great turnout."
