Public Hearing This Month for Forsyth Development Code Changes
The changes to the Unified Development Code would add a stipulation for advance notice of changes involving waters, sewers, or roads.

Forsyth County residents and business owners are invited to attend a public hearing at the County Administration Building concerning proposed changes to the county’s Unified Development Code.
According to the county’s website, the code changes would remove the requirement for speakers at public hearings for applications to write down down their addresses. Additional changes include the addition of at least two days’ advance notice before a Board of Commissioners’ vote for any changes that would affect the county’s roads, sewers, or water infrastructure. Another addition stipulates that applicants must inform all stakeholders at least 15 days in advance of any vote on amendments to a zoning application that call for a lower density than originally applied for.
The full list of code changes can be read here.
