Save Horses While Enjoying Authentic Indian Food & Music
Horse Rescue fundraiser treats attendees to authentic open fire Vegetarian Indian Cuisine and Indian music
CUMMING, Georgia – June 15, 2015 - The public is invited to the Taste of India @ SavetheHorses fundraiser which features authentic Indian food which will be cooked on-site.
The event will be held at the SavetheHorses rescue farm in Cumming, GA, on Saturday June 20 from Noon to 4p. Prashant K, a volunteer with the rescue that is home to 90 rescued horses and other animals, will cook a traditional Indian meal at the farm with the help of other volunteers.
“The menu will include Paneer (Indian cottage cheese), Naan bread, Basmati Rice and Mango Lassi, a popular, traditional, yogurt-based drink and a vegetable samosa. I am happy to be a part of an event that helps the Rescue continue to do its great work rehabilitating and re-homing these beautiful animals.” The meal cost is a $20 donation for an adult meal and $12 for a child if you pre-register. Adult meal will be $25 and children meal will be $15 at the door. Hot dogs are $5 which includes potato chips and a drink.

The event features lots of family activities such as visiting the horses, mini and dwarf horses, interacting with animals in the petting zoo such as pigs, goats, chickens, etc. and enjoying pony rides and face painting. Attendees will be treated to Indian music courtesy of DJ Ameet A Lilani, the king of Bollywood. 100% of proceeds benefit the rescue.
