Students at Carrington Academy Windermere in Cumming Clean Up the Community on Earth Day

Students planted flowers and cleaned up trash at Windermere Park in celebration of Earth Day

On April 22, Carrington Academy students did their part to help improve their community in celebration of Earth Day. Students from Carrington Academy’s transitional kindergarten class partnered with members of the Forsyth County community to plant flowers and clean up trash in Windermere Park. Kindergarten, first and second grade students received a visit from a recycling truck and learned how recycling helps the environment. The initiative was inspired by Great American Cleanup, a nonprofit program with the goal of sustaining vibrant outdoor communities across the country.
