SWAT Standoff in Forsyth County Ends Early Thursday
A man believed to be armed had barricaded himself in his home in the Olde Atlanta Golf Club, authorities say.

CUMMING, GA — A SWAT standoff in south Forsyth County ended peacefully early Thursday morning, after authorities say a man believed to be armed barricaded himself inside his home.
Wednesday evening, the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office had attempted to serve a warrant at the home on Hartsfield Place, in Olde Atlanta Golf Club.
Instead of complying, a man who lived in the home barricaded himself inside, said Forsyth County Sheriff's Office spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez.

Believing the man had a firearm, deputies called in reinforcements, including the Forsyth County SWAT team.
The standoff lasted several hours. But, eventually, the man turned himself over to Forsyth's SWAT team at about 12:30 a.m., Rodriguez said.
