The Good And Not So Good Travel Deals

One of the things I love most about working in the world of travel is sailing on new ships and visiting new resorts, so I can come home and tell my agents and customers the pros and cons.  I've sailed on more ships than I can count and visited hundreds of resorts in Hawaii, Mexico, and the Caribbean. When on vacation or doing site inspections we call them “fam trips”.  Now you're probably thinking “What a great job you have!”, and I'll have to agree with you. It is great, but it's not all fun.  On a typical “fam trip” we are busy from the time we land until the time we fly home. It's a nonstop trip of site inspections, training, and picture taking, but it's all worth it; especially the food, drinks, and making new friends.

The second thing that I love about working in travel is when I see a really great travel deal.  Every day I receive multiple emails with great "travel deals" and some not so great "travel deals". I try not to write too much about travel deals and promotions but more on my travels and customers’ travels because I really don't consider many deals to be a true "deal".

Today is not one of those days. Now back to my travel. I'm heading to Club Med Sandpiper in Port St. Lucie, Florida next Friday for a few days of inspections and a lot of R&R.
