Thieves Steal $9,500 Worth of MacBooks From Store

Several employees of Simply Mac, in The Collection at Forsyth, received minor injuries trying to stop the robbers, police said.

CUMMING, GA -- Police are looking for two men who stole eight Apple MacBook computers in a south Forsyth robbery that turned violent Sunday afternoon.

The robbery happened at about 12:20 p.m. at Simply Mac, a store in The Collection at Forsyth.

According to a Forsyth County Sheriff's Office report, the men entered the store, went to two different counters and began closing the lids on several MacBooks.

That's when one of the men grabbed several laptops and tried to leave the store. Three employees tried to physically stop the two men, and a scuffle broke out.

One male employee was struck in the nose and mouth, another suffered a cut hand and a female employee was rammed into a door, according to a police incident report.

Emergency responders treated the female employee at the scene for her injuries.

The stolen computers were valued at $9,592.

The robbers escaped in a silver Cadillac SUV, but not before a witness pursued them and used a pocket knife to leave a scratch in the driver's side window of the vehicle, police said.

The suspects were both described as black males in their mid-to-late 20s. One had a long goatee and short beard and was wearing black shoes, workout pants and a black workout jacket with a black knit cap.

The other was described as having a short beard and long "dreadlock-type" hair, wearing gray pants and a gray hoodie.
