Throwing Paperweights, Wood Blocks At Cars Leads To Arrest

A man has been arrested after deputies say he was involved in throwing glass paperweights and 4x4 pieces of wood blocks at passing cars.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — A man has been arrested after deputies say he was involved in throwing glass paperweights and 4x4 pieces of wood blocks at passing cars Friday. Five different cars were damaged in a 30-minute period in the area of Windermere Parkway/Old Atlanta and Mathis Airport.

Christopher Kratzer, of Cumming, spent Easter weekend in jail, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

The incidents happened between 4:30 and 5 p.m., and deputies were on the lookout for a black or blue Volkswagen in the area, after several reports.

On Saturday, South Precinct Patrol deputies refused to forget about the incidents from Friday evening and continued to develop leads. At the same time, citizens of Forsyth County came forward with additional information.

Saturday afternoon, deputies were able to arrest and charge Kratzer with a host of charges.

"Kudos to the teamwork between the Citizens of Forsyth and our deputies," reads the sheriff's Facebook page.

The blue Volkswagen was located belonging to Kratzer.
