"We have a quick time frame on this," he said. "We’ve been planning it for a while. We have our permits in hand. We expect to begin construction next month.
"I don’t have an exact date, but that’s how close we are to it. We are looking for a grand opening in second quarter, so I’d say about this time next year."

The Walmart representatives acknowledged receiving a letter from county Commissioner Cindy Jones Mills, asking them to delay construction until widening of Ga. 400 in the area is complete. But, they said no decision on that has been made.
The Ga. 400 project will add one lane in each direction from McFarland Parkway to Browns Bridge Road and add an interchange at Ga. 369.
The construction is expected to be finished by May 31, 2018.
The officials said the new Walmart will have the usual grocery and retail shopping, along with a garden center and automotive center. There will also be a full gas station and small kiosk near the main entrance.
The total development will be about 38 acres, with about 21 of that being made up by the main store and fuel center.
Wilkins said he expects the store to create about 300 jobs, with about half of them being full-time.
