5-Year-Old's Painting Headed to Washington D.C.
Brantley Crossfield's painting has been selected among 102 pieces of artwork to be featured in a national exhibition debuting in the nation's capital on June 13.

With a dab of pink here and a stroke of black there, Brantley Crossfield's "Blooming Tree" painting will soon be on display in Washington D.C. as part of the 2011 All Kids Can CREATE program, debuting on June 13.
Only five years old, from Douglasville's , his piece of artwork was entered under the theme, “Imagination Across America.” More than 4,700 entries were accepted from artists across the country. Only 102 works of art were chosen after an expert panel judged the entries. The panel was made up of a wide range of artists and art educators and the forms of art ranged from paintings to sculptures to photographs. All selected pieces will be included in an online gallery at www.artsonia.com/allkidscancreate.
CVS Caremark All Kids Can and VSA, the international organization on arts and disability, sponsored the national touring exhibition, featuring artwork submitted by students, ages 5 to 15, from each state and the District of Columbia.
