6 reasons to use pinestraw- delivered by BSA Troop 7

Do you have flowerbeds that need pinestraw in the Spring? If so, then Boy Scout Troop 7 in Hiram has a solution for you. Why trudge off to a home improvement store and cart home a few bales at a time in your car when we will deliver it to your doorstep? Our prices are very competitive, only $4.00 per bale with no delivery fee! Most landscape companies will charge $5 or more to deliver it to your home. Bales will be delivered on either Friday March 14th or Saturday March 15th. We will deliver to all of Paulding and Douglas County. If you have a question about whether or not we can deliver to you please call 404-787-0209.

All profit will go the individual Scouts and to the troop. The monies will help boys pay for Summer Camp, a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and various other camping and adventure trips throughout the year. Be sure to include Matthew Lawler in the Scout’s name section. This will help him pay for a 10 day backpacking trek in New Mexico this summer.

Why use pinestraw at all? Well, here are a few good reasons:

1.      Visual appearance- it makes your flowerbeds look clean and inviting.

2.      Easy to apply- You can carry the bales and spread them easily.

3.      Erosion control- Can help prevent washout and keep your soil where you want it.

4.      Lightweight- Pinestraw is lighter and easier to handle than most other mulches.

5.      Plant and Soil Health- pinestraw is high in nitrogen so when it does start to degrade it will help to feed your soil and spur growth of plants and shrubs.

6.      Weed control- Layering pinestraw about 3 inches deep will help prevent unsightly weeds from growing in your flowerbeds or around trees and shrubs.

All of these are great reasons to use pinestraw this Spring. Be sure to visit www.troop7online.org to place your order today. If you have any special instructions on where you want the bales or a preference to which day you want them delivered please note that in the comments section of the information sheet. Plus, be sure to include Matthew Lawler in the Scout’s name section so that he can get credit for the sales.

Thanks for supporting the Boy Scouts and Troop 7 help teach our youth about leadership, first aid, citizenship and how to be good all around members of society.
