Alexander High School FBLA supports the Douglas County Animal Shelter

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club at Alexander Highs School is off to a great start this year. This year’s Executive Board members are: Lexus Agee, Reese Blackley, Elijah Boyett, Tinasia Coleman, CJ Davenport, Jake Suttles, Madison Green and Maddie Wisener. Executive Board members have decided that this year, FBLA will work with the Douglas County Animal Shelter to support the employees and animals and to educate others about the importance of spaying or neutering their pets. FBLA’s first initiative will begin in November when they will collect old towels, sheets and bedding that can be used in the kennels of the animals at the shelter. Club members who are of age are also planning to visit the shelter to walk dogs and to play with the kittens and cats. Executive Board member, CJ Davenport, said, “I look forward to a great year with a club full of service minded students. This year’s members have lots to offer and I’m sure we will build many bridges in our school and in our community.”
