Alexander Leads Douglas Schools in Directors Cup
Each year the Regions Bank Directors Cup is given to the top performing high school athletic department in each classification.

The Regions Bank Directors Cup is presented by the Georgia Athletic Directors Association to recognize the top athletic departments in the Georgia High School Association. Points are accumulated throughout each school year to determine the best programs in the state by classification, gender and region.
Points are tallied from each school’s top eight scoring sports among the 25 sanctioned GHSA sports in which each school participates. Each school that wins will receive a Regions Directors Cup trophy and wall banner.

finished in 17th place and scored 476 points. tallied 263 points and finished in 38th place while earned 124 points and finished in 70th place.
Alexander’s second place finish in the state earned the boys 90 points in wrestling. The Cougars also scored 48 points in cross country, 25 in soccer and 25 in baseball. Their 188 points were good for 29th place.

The Lady Cougars scored 288 points and finished in 12th place. They scored points in six sports: 66 from cross country, 58.5 from track, 57 from golf, 53 from softball, 28.50 from cheerleading and 25 from volleyball.
Chapel Hill scored 150 points in three boys’ sports: cross country (90), track (35) and basketball (25). Their 150 points placed them at No. 37.
The Lady Panthers scored 113 points and finished in 48th place. They earned 63 points from cross country, 25 from basketball and 25 from volleyball.
Douglas County only earned points from the Lady Tigers. They scored 83 points in basketball and 41 in track.
