Annie Ruth Pitts, 88, Dies

Annie Ruth Pitts, 88 of Carrollton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 02. She was born on June 21, 1925 in Carroll County, to the late James Luther Pitts and Minnie Mae Garrison Pitts. She worked as a seamstress for Turners’ in the Textile industry and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.Besides her parents, preceding her in death is a sister, Mary Lucille Pitts.

Suvivors include her caregivers, David and Delores Moore of Carrollton; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted today at 3 p.m. from Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Tony McManus officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Annie Ruth Pitts Memorial C/O: Antioch Baptist Church at 31 Antioch Church Road, Carrollton, Ga. 30117.
