Arrest Made In 6 Douglas County Theft Cases

One arrest was made in an apartment complex off Stewart Mill Road, by Douglas County Sheriff's deputies, that may have solved 6 theft cases.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — An arrest made by Douglas County Sheriff's deputies, in apartment complex off Stewart Mill Road, recovered several stolen items and may have solved six theft cases, three entering autos, two burglaries and a larceny theft case.

William Dale Honea Jr was arrested Dec. 21 after a Dec. 1 report to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department of an early morning entering auto where a gun and a tablet were stolen from a vehicle, according to the Sheriff's Office. Initial investigations lead deputies to an apartment complex off Stewart Mill Road in Douglas County. Investigators from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office began going door to door in the apartment complex talking with residents.

"While speaking with residents we were able to locate an apartment where a search warrant was conducted and items from the entering auto were located inside the apartment," reads the Sheriff's Facebook page. "Several other stolen items were found."
