Body Found In Sweetwater Creek

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Douglas County authorities are working to learn how a dead body ended up in Sweetwater Creek.

At 4:20 p.m. Sunday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received a call about a body being found in the creek, near Lithia Springs.

Deputies responded and found the body. The sheriff's office is currently investigating and not releasing any other information about the case, spokesman Sgt. Jesse Hambrick said Monday morning.

The Douglas County Sentinel reported that the body is that of a middle-aged man.
