Bogus Calls from 'Sheriff's Office' Continue in Douglas County
The real sheriff's office: "Under no circumstances would we call on the phone to solicit anything."

Patch has reported on several phone scams all over north Georgia this summer involving a caller posing as a law-enforcement official and demanding a fine be paid with money cards.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that it’s still receiving reports of the fraudulent calls.
“These phone calls show up on caller IDs as coming from our 770-942-2121 number,” the post said. “However, the person soliciting money is NOT from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Under no circumstances would we call on the phone to solicit anything.
