Each of these dogs are great dogs and each of them would make good companions and pets. They are all loving animals and each of them is in desperate need of a forever home and someone to love them and care about them.   All of these dogs are on the IN DANGER list this week. The IN DANGER list means that they may be put to sleep this Friday if space for new arrivals is required at the shelter. To see the IN DANGER List, please visit Rainbow Connections on Facebook.

If you’re interested in adopting any of these dogs or any of the other dogs or cats, that are available at the shelter, please visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed to the public on Monday, but open to rescue organizations on Mondays.

Come see all the DCAC pets posted daily at Rainbow Connections on Facebook or see other current postings on our sister page Furbabies of DCAS. To learn about other animals available for adoption at Douglas County Animal Control, please view their PetFinder listings on their website.

Pet listings are updated daily, however, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival and that after all is the goal. If the pet you are interested in has been adopted, please consider giving another of the many loveable pets an opportunity to be your forever friend and allow them to show you just how special they each are when they are given a chance.

Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay. All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper) and all pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies. The Douglas County Animal Shelter phone: 770-942-5961. If the line is busy, please keep trying as there is often limited staff to answer calls. However, messages left will be returned as time permits.
