"Binky" the Beagle

Binky is a great little male Beagle who came to the shelter on June 8th as an owner surrender. Binky makes friends easily and he is great with other dogs. He is a typical beagle hound, wanting to sniff and explore everything he can get his nose to. He is good on a leash and he enjoys time spent with people. Binky will need to be neutered and have his rabies rabies vaccination after adoption, but he is current on all other vaccinations. Binky is approximatley 3 years old and about forty pounds. Binky was chosen this week as Pet of the Week by Shelter Staff. So please come and see Binky and see if he isn't a good fit for your family.

If you’re interested in adopting Binky or any of the other dogs or cats that are available, please visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road). The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed to the public on Monday, but open to rescue organizations on Mondays.

Pet listings are updated daily, however, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival and that after all is the goal. Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay. All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper) and all pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies.
