Brandi Needs a Home Today

Brandi is on the IN DANGER LIST this week and she may be put down tomorrow morning if she is not adopted or rescued today.

Brandi #5104
Female listed as Lab mix
Not spayed. Listed as Abandoned.
Looks to be 2-4 years old 70 pounds

Brandi is a sweet and loveable Lab/Boxer mix who's time may run out today if she is not adopted or rescued. Brandi came to the shelter in June as a stray pick up. Brandi is a very loving dog who loves the company of people, but she does not get along well with other dogs. Brandi loves playing with toys and the attention of visitors who take her for walks and spend time with her. Brandi is on the IN DANGER LIST this week and she may be put down tomorrow morning if she is not adopted or rescued today. Please come see this girl today before 7 PM if you are interested in saving her and giving her another chance at life.

If you are interested in adopting Brandi, or any of the many other beautiful and sweet dogs or cats that are available for adoption, please take the time to visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road) this week. The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue dogs and cats, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving and forever home.

To learn about other animals available for adoption at Douglas County Animal Control, view the DCAC PetFinder listings on their website.

Or please visit the DC shelter pets posted and profiled daily at Rainbow Connections on Facebook and at our sister page Furbabies of DCAS on facebook.

Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily; therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival at the shelter. That after all is the goal. If the pet you have seen promoted and are interested in has been adopted, please consider giving another of the many loveable pets an opportunity to be your forever friend. Come see them and allow them to show you just how special they each are once they are given a chance to be adopted.

Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay.

All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended time. The Douglas County Animal Shelter phone: 770-942-5961. If the line is busy, please keep trying as there is often limited staff to answer calls. However, messages left will be returned as time permits.
