Brody & Foster are two recent arrivals at the DCAC shelter. Both came into the shelter the week of July 9th as strays. Brody is a sweet male Bull Terrier mix 2-3 years old and about 40 pounds. Foster is a loveable Labrador mix puppy approximately 9 months old and 40 pounds. Both are males and will need to be neutered after adoption. Presently they are sharing the same kennel and they both enjoy visitors who come to see them. Each are loving dogs and either one would make a great companion dog for a young family. Come see them both this weekend at the DCAC shelter.

The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed to the public on Monday, but open to rescue organizations on Mondays. The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving and forever home.

Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily, therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival at the shelter and that after all is the goal. Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay. Don't forget, this month (July) there is a special half price and free spay neuter program for all kittens.

All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended time.
