These three dogs are each great dogs in their own right. Chance is a big love bug who loves walks and being with people. Chance is a male mixed breed American bulldog and probably some Dalmatian. Chance loves to play with squeeky toys adn to jump high in the air for treats. Chance is 2-4 years old, 50 pounds and he is one sweet dog.
Chip is an adorable Pit Bull Mix with beautiful markings and a loving disposition. Chance came to the shelter emaciated and in need of food, care and love. His temperment is calm, laid back and loving. All he is seeking is the opportunity to prove that he is a good dog. Chip is 1-2 years old and approximately 40 pounds.

If you are interested in adopting Chance, Chip or Juno, or any of the many other beautiful and sweet dogs or cats that are available for adoption, please take the time to visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road) this week. The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue dogs and cats, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving and forever home.

To learn about other animals available for adoption at Douglas County Animal Control, view the DCAC PetFinder listings on their website.
Or please visit the DC shelter pets posted and profiled daily at Rainbow Connections on Facebook and at our sister page Furbabies of DCAS on facebook.
Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily; therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival at the shelter. That after all is the goal. If the pet you have seen promoted and are interested in has been adopted, please consider giving another of the many loveable pets an opportunity to be your forever friend. Come see them and allow them to show you just how special they each are once they are given a chance to be adopted.
Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay.
All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended time. The Douglas County Animal Shelter phone: 770-942-5961. If the line is busy, please keep trying as there is often limited staff to answer calls. However, messages left will be returned as time permits.
