Isaac came to the shelter as a stray and since his arrival, he has won the hearts of all involved. From staff to volunteers, Isaac has an ever growing list of friends and supporters because he is such a great little dog. Isaac is listed as an American Pit Bull Terrier and if any one dog should be a spokesman for his breed, Isaac is that dog. Too often Pits are branded as bad or vicious dogs, when the reality of their demeanor is quite different once you get to know them. Pits are very loving and loyal dogs. Isaac is the most mild mannered, well behaved loving little dog currently at the shelter. He loves people and he gets along well with other dogs. He loves to walk with people and he make friends easily and he loves spending time with people and other dogs. Issac is 1-2 years old and approximately 50 pounds. Isaac was recent sponsored so he is now neutered and fuilly vetted! A sweeter and more intelligent dog will be hard to find. Come see Isaac today at the shelter.

The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue dogs and cats, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving and forever home.

Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily; therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival at the shelter. That after all is the goal. Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay. 

All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended time.
