Jonathan & Maggie Two Sweethearts
Jonathan and Maggie arefavorites of shelter staff and volunteers and they are over flowing with personality and a love of people.
Jonathan and Maggie are two sweethearts who have been at the shelter since summer. Jonathan and Maggie are favorites of shelter staff and volunteers and they are over flowing with personality and a love of people. Both get along well with other dogs and they love to demonstrate their good qualities to visitors. Both of these dogs are extremely laid back and easy going.
Johnathan is a brindle Pit Terrier mix who is fully vetted. He has been neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations and rabies shots. Jonathan just loves squeaky toys and play time. Jonathan will make a great family dog for someone interested in taking this guy to be their own.
Maggie is a American Bull Terrier mix who loves to play and be with people. She has a perpetual smile on her face and looks as if she puts on her make up every morning to greet visitors. Maggie is mild mannered and a sweet little dog who needs a loving forever home. She will make a wonderful additon to any growing family.

If you are interested in adopting Jonathan or Maggie or one of the many beautiful and sweet dogs or cats that are available for adoption, please take the time to visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road) this week. The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue dogs and cats, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving and forever home.
To see other animals available for adoption at Douglas County Animal Control, view the DCAC PetFinder listings on their website.

Or please visit the Douglas County shelter pets posted and profiled daily at Rainbow Connections on Facebook . Or at out sister site. Furbabies of DCAS on Facebook.
Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily; therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival at the shelter. That after all is the goal. If the pet you have seen promoted and are interested in has been adopted, please consider giving another of the many loveable pets an opportunity to be your forever friend. Come see them and allow them to show you just how special they each are once they are given a chance to be adopted.
Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay.
All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended time. The Douglas County Animal Shelter phone: 770-942-5961. If the line is busy, please keep trying as there is often limited staff to answer calls. However, messages left will be returned as time permits.
