Meet Vicky
Vicky loves people and she lights up like a child when she sees friends or people she knows.
This is Vicky #6089
Vicky came to the shelter about a month ago as a stray pick up. Vicky had been found cowering underneath a car the day she was picked up by the animal control officer. She was one scared and terrified little girl when she first arrived at the shelter. It took a couple of weeks of working with her to get her setttled and able to accept people and show just how sweet she is.
Vicky is a mixed breed female who is no more than a year old and approximately 35 pounds. She has the most beautiful fox like blonde coat, beautiful eyes and a super sweet personality. Vicky loves people and she lights up like a child when she sees friends or people she knows.

Vicky will make an exceptional companion dog or family dog for a young family. She will also do well with other dogs or as an only dog to a caring person or family. Come see this sweetheart today and give her the opportunity to win you over as she has so many others.
If you are interested in adopting Vicky one of the many dogs or cats that are available for adoption at the shelter, please take the time to visit the Douglas County Animal Shelter located at 1755 County Services Road (off Cedar Mountain Road) this week.

Douglas County Animal Control maintains PetFinder listings on their website.
Or you can visit the Douglas County shelter pets posted and profiled daily on volunteer pages at: Rainbow Connections on Facebook Or our sister page at: Furbabies of DCAS on Facebook.
Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily; therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your visiting the shelter. Finding forever homes for these pets is the goal, so please consider giving another loving pet a hoe if the one you first saw has already been adopted. Come see these sweet dogs and cats and allow them to show you just how special they each can be once they are given a chance to be loved and have a hoe.
Adoption fees for dogs and cats at the shelter are $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. That mean for $35 you have the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a homeless fur kid a forever home. All during October! There are weekly specials and special adoption pricing for adoptions on many of the Dogs and Cats! So don't iss the opportunity to adopt your new best friend this month.
All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies, Kittens and puppies are given extended time. The Douglas County Animal Shelter phone: 770-942-5961. If the line is busy, please keep trying as there is often limited staff to answer calls. However, messages left will be returned as time permits.
