Samson The Big Puppy

Samson came to the shelter on June 13th as a stray pick up. Samson is a beautiful Mastiff male and his personality is a joy to be around. He is a little bitty dog trapped in a big dog's body. Samson thinks and acts like he is a little dog. Samson loves to play with balls and toys and he really loves to play with his rubber chicken. Samson is approximatley 90-100 pounds of pure and love. He appears to be 2-4 years old but he thinks he is still a puppy. Samson will make a wonderful companion or family animal. Samson is on the IN DANGER list this week and if he is not adoted or rescued by Thursday afternoon, he will probably be put down. Please come see this guy and give him an opportunity to show you his many wonderful qualities.

The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. The shelter is closed to the public on Monday, but open to rescue organizations on Mondays. The summer months are the critical months to adopt and rescue, so please consider giving one of these dogs or cats a loving and forever home.

Pet listings on each of these pages are updated daily, therefore, some animals featured may be adopted prior to your arrival at the shelter and that after all is the goal. Adoption fees for dogs and cats at DCAC is $25 and there is a $10 micro chip fee. $35 for the opportunity to make a friend for life and the opportunity to give a fur kid a forever home is a small price to pay. Don't forget, this month (July) there is a special half price adn freey spay neuter program for all kittens.

All dogs presently receive intake inoculations for kennel cough, parvo and distemper (cats receive distemper as part of a five way vaccination). All pets adopted from the shelter are required to have their rabies shots and be spayed or neutered within thirty days of adoption, unless they are kittens or puppies and they are given extended time.
