Burglar Found Wearing UGA Jacket of Victim's Deceased Son

DCSO Deputy Clint Adams and K-9 Bando tracked him down after burglary in the Winston area near Douglasville.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s deputy and his K-9 partner recently tracked down a burglar who stole a University of Georgia jacket belonging to the victim’s deceased son.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that Deputy Clint Adams and K-9 Bando located Jonathan Scott Bray in some bushes after he allegedly broke into a Winston-area residence around 7 a.m. on Monday Oct. 20.

Bray apparently entered the home through an unlocked basement door. When confronted by the homeowner, he opened a bedroom window and crawled out, the sheriff’s office said.

Deputy Clint Adams and K-9 Bando were deployed and tracked the subject Bray to the residence next to the victim’s residence and located subject Bray hiding in some bushes. Subject Bray was taken into custody and the UGA jacket subject Bray was wearing belonged to the victim’s deceased son and the victim’s debit card was also located in the pocket of the UGA jacket that subject Bray was wearing.

Several more items belonging to the victim were found in the area Bray was hiding.
