Burglars Used Handicap Parking Sign to Steal $40K in Drugs

They used the sign to break into two businesses, including a pharmacy.

The damaged handicap parking sign Douglasville Police posted on Facebook last week was used in a burglary that netted the thieves $40,000 in pharmaceuticals.

According to Fox 5, burglars used the stolen sign to break in to the Apothecary Shoppe on Prestley Mill Road and steal an assortment of drugs, particularly pain killers. The burglars apparently used the sign to break into a dentist shop which shared a wall with the pharmacy, then used it to go through the wall to get to the drugs.

Last week, police posted a photo of the sign, asking likers if they know where it belonged.
