“Last December we began our year-long celebration of our silver anniversary at the gala,” stated Laura C. Lieberman, executive director of the Arts Council. “That event, chaired by Virginia Pope, CAC’s first Board president, focused on our founders and their achievements. This year we hope all of our gala celebrants will look to the future, keeping the founders’ vision alive, recognizing our volunteers, and remaining responsive to our community’s needs and interests. We are going to face many challenges, but with community-wide support and participation the next 25 years should prove even more successful.”
The President of the Board of Directors, Jerry Leath added, “We are very grateful to our chairs and the members of the gala committee. Organizing a fundraising event is fun but it is also a lot of hard work. Their efforts will support quality arts activities in our community throughout the year.”
