Calling All Dog Owners: Here's Your Day to Celebrate
The Doggie Day Ice Cream is set at Deer Lick Dog Park.

The Doggie Day Ice Cream Social is just around the corner, and will be the best yet! Douglas County invites you to bring your favorite four-legged friend or friends to celebrate National Dog Day. Join us on Sunday, August 24th at the Deer Lick Dog Park, 2015 Mack Road.
Admission is free, and open to the Public - with or without dogs.
Attendees will enjoy free ice cream for the dogs; free demonstrations on obedience, rally, and meet the breeds by the Douglasville Kennel Club; and free goodies for your family pet. The Dog Whisperer will teach dog safety, and the dogs can play leash-free in the dog park.

Carters Watkins Architects, chosen to design the new Douglas County Animal Shelter, will be present to reveal their latest ideas on the shelter design.
