The Chapel Hills High School boys varsity basketball team will begin region play tomorrow against county rival Lithia Springs. Head Coach Leland Wilson has high expectations for the Panthers this season. "Right now we're a good team, but with enough hard work we could be a very good team." Wilson went on to say his team's strength is in their chemistry. "We find ways to get the job done by trusting each other and pulling together."
Wilson believes the Panthers are deep at every position and offensively they will look to the leadership of Seniors Michael Blakely and Eric Gooden. They will also expect a big impact from transfer Tevin Parker. Consistency will be the key for this team's defensive pressure and rebounding. "We've got to learn to box out better and take control of the boards," Wilson said.
