Child, Adult Dead, 3 Hospitalized After High Speed Chase: GSP

A child and an adult are dead and 3 children are critically hospitalized after a high speed chase with Douglas County Sheriff's deputies.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A child and an adult are dead and three children are critically hospitalized after a high speed chase with Douglas County Sheriff's deputies Saturday, through Lithia Springs, ended in a fatal crash.

Douglas County Sheriff's deputies were in an active pursuit on Thornton Road, southbound from I-20, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed failing to yield to the emergency signal of the deputy. Billy Fraizer and front seat passenger, Quemontae Frazier, 10, of Atlanta, died in a collision. Three children back seat passengers were taken to Scottish Rite in Atlanta with critical injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Frazier, ran a red light at GA 6 and Riverside Parkway and struck the side of a tractor-trailer that was traveling thru the intersection.
