Children Found Safe After Sunday Morning Abduction in Douglasville
The father, Born Uallah Foster, has been arrested and faces numerous charges, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.

A father accused of abducting his two small children Sunday morning in Douglasville has been arrested and charged with numerous crimes, including aggravated assault and burglary.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said Born Uallah Foster was arrested in Atlanta around 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The children were found safe and returned to their mother, seven hours after they were reported missing.
Foster is being held in the county jail after authorities spent much of the day looking for the children, ages 3 and 1. The children were discovered missing around 5:30 a.m., when deputies responded to a house fire on Abercorn Way in Douglasville around 5:30 a.m.

The sheriff’s office issued an Amber Alert and a Levi’s Call for the missing children, with descriptions of the children, the father and suspected vehicle. Foster was believed to be driving his ex-wife’s car.
DCSO Lt. Glenn Daniel said the car was spotted around 12:30 p.m. by MARTA Police at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Lowery Boulevard in Atlanta. As police tried to stop the car, Foster allegedly got out and ran away. He was caught after a short foot chase.

The children were found safe in the vehicle, Daniel said.
Daniel said multiple agencies assisted in the investigation and quick capture — MARTA Police, Atlanta Police, FBI, GBI and the Secret Service.
Foster is being charged with aggravated assault (two counts), motor vehicle theft, burglary, criminal damage to property. More charges are possible.
Daniel said the fire at the residence is under investigation.
