Christine Chapman Roberts, 82, of Douglasville

Christine Chapman Roberts, age 82 of Douglasville, passed away, Friday, October 24, 2014. She was born October 5, 1932 to the late Elsie Fleming Chapman and Mamie Drawdy Chapman. She worked for more than thirty years as an installation inspector for the HITCO Company, an aircraft parts manufacturer. She attended Prays Mill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Myron Buddy Roberts, son: Daryl Roberts; sisters: Gertrude Knight, Maxine Little, Mildred Bell, Elsie Mae Thrift and Diane Beckum; brothers and sister-in-law: Elton and Dot Chapman and Richard Chapman.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law: Beverly and Don Wilson of Bremen; son and daughters-in-law: Marty and Kathy Roberts of Douglasville, and Audrey Roberts of Douglasville; brothers and sisters-in-law: Carlos and Sarah Chapman, Ralph and De Chapman, Jerry and Janet Chapman, Odell and Vicki Chapman and Othell Chapman, six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Hightower’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ralph Chapman, Rev. Carlos Chapman and Rev. Josh Buice, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with Jeremy Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Cory Priest and Don Wilson serving as Pallbearers.

The family will receive friends, Monday, October 27, 2014 from 5-9 PM at the funeral home.
