Clothing Drive To Benefit Older Residents In Douglas Co.
The local sheriff's office will collect donations to assist a senior living facility in Douglas County, authorities say.
DOUGLASVILLE, GA — Local authorities will accept donations to benefit Serenity Empire's clothing drive, they said Monday.
Serenity Empire, an assisted living facility in Lithia Springs, will host A Warmth and Hope Drive for older residents.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office will help the drive by collecting hats, gloves, blankets and coats in anticipation of colder weather, the department said.

Serenity will begin the drive on Sept. 30, and it will run until Oct. 30, according to authorities.
Donations can be dropped off at either Serenity Empire (1600 Lee Road in Lithia Springs) or the sheriff's office (8470 Earl D. Lee Blvd. in Douglasville) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
