President and CEO Lou Martinez, the board of directors, family and friends joined on March 26th to celebrate the new location of the D.A.N.N.Y Center (Developing And Nurturing Needy Youth).

The D.A.N.N.Y. Center Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization, which serves as a centralized resource for the youth in Douglas County.
It is comprised of a diverse group of individuals from various ethnic groups and backgrounds with a common goal — to enrich the lives of the youth in our community. And to serve as facilitators that provide education, career, and recreational opportunities for all youth who can benefit from them.
The D.A.N.N.Y. Center serves at-risk youth and their families by providing an array of evidence-based programs proven to have effective outcomes of reducing risk factors.
Risk factors for delinquency can include the following: general offenses, substance use, antisocial peers, aggression, harsh, lax, or inconsistent discipline, hyperactivity, problem/antisocial behavior, exposure to television violence, medical issues, physical problems, broken home, low IQ, antisocial attitudes, beliefs, dishonesty, low socioeconomic status/poverty, separation from parents, abusive parents, weak social ties, poor attitude in school, antisocial parents, poor parent-child relationship, neglect, and poor performance in school.
