DeLaine Kilgore, 63, Dies

DeLaine Kilgore, 63 of Carrollton,  passed away on Friday, Dec. 13. She was born Nov. 7, 1950 in Carrollton, the daughter of the late Charlie L. Lester and the late Virginia Woodard Lester. She was a homemaker and attended South Street Holiness Church and Lowell Congregational Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Billy Lester. Survivors include her husband, Clifton Reuben Kilgore of Carrollton; son and daughter-in-law, Chris “Butch” and Angie Kilgore of Bremen; daughter, Rebecca Smith of Carrollton; brother, Bobby Lee Lester; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, from the Lowell Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Charles Smith, Pastor Chris Jiles, and Bro. Ronnie Cook officiating. The body will be placed in the church on Monday at noon. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 2 until 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made in memory of Mrs. DeLaine Kilgore, P. O. Box 215, Carrollton, Georgia, 30112.
