DOUGLASVILLE, GA -- The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating the <a href="http://www.ajc.com/news/news/crime-law/sheriff-man-killed-by-douglas-deputies-was-possibl/nppxm/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">fatal shooting</a> of a man during an arrest Monday night at the Arbor Village Mobile Home Park, according to media reports.Deputies responding to a report of a kidnapping found three men inside a white 4-door sedan. A deputy was attempting to detain one man, and had removed a gun from him, according to an AJC report.

The suspect’s father reportedly picked up the gun. Deputies claim the man pointed the gun at a deputy, who <a href="http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/douglasville-police-investigate-officer-involved-s/nppqG/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">fired his own gun</a>, killing the suspect’s father, according to WSB-TV. Family members claim the man was just trying to help by keeping the gun from his son.
