Dera Jones Wallace, 66, Dies

Dera Jones Wallace, 66 of Winston, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15. She was born Feb. 15, 1947 in Atlanta. 

Mrs. Wallace was a retired pre-school teacher at First Baptist Early Learning Center and at Midway United Methodist Church Preschool.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Jones.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Wallace, Jr.; Daughters, Paige Dillistin and husband Mike, Day Poling and husband Jeff; grandchildren, Jacob Dillistin, Savannah Poling, Landen Poling, Maddie Jayne Poling; father, Weems D. Jones; brother, Randy Jones and wife Martha.

Per her wishes Mrs. Wallace was cremated and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 20, from 2 to 3 p.m. with her memorial service following at 3 p.m. in the Rosehaven Chapel with Dr. Thom Shores officiating.
