Donald “Don” Oliver Dempsey, Sr., age 76, of Seminole, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014.

Don was born to Edgar and Ruth Dempsey on May 2, 1938 in Chillicothe, Ohio and grew up in Coalton, Ohio. Shortly after graduating, he married the love of his life, Nancy. They had two beautiful children together, Carol Ann and Donald Jr. They spent most of their lives living in Florida with some time in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

Don had worked for Harland for 10 years and worked as a printing serviceman for Heidelberg USA for over 32 years.

He was a great father as well as a great friend. He enjoyed spending time with those that he loved, traveling, and working with all types of electronics in his spare time. Don will be missed by all those whose lives he has touched.

Donald “Don” Oliver Dempsey, Sr. is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Carol Flowers Dempsey; daughter, Carol Ann Dempsey Cole; and parents, Edgar and Ruth Dempsey. Survivors include his son, Donald O. Dempsey, Jr.; brothers, Butch Dempsey and Gene Dempsey; five grandchildren, Ashley Cole Lane, Kenneth “Kenny” Weston, Bryan Weston, Mark Dempsey, and Jamie Dempsey; and step-mother, Mae Dempsey.

Donald will lie in state from 9:30 AM until Graveside Services begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia under the care of White Columns Chapel.
