Douglas County Man Arrested, Charged in GBI Child Porn Sweep
"Operation MasqueRAID" targeted people trading child pornography using the Internet; 18 people were arrested and charged.

A Douglasville County man was among 18 people arrested this week in a child pornography investigation coordinated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
William Rosado-Vazquez, 49, of Douglas County faces charges under the Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act of 2007, the GBI said in a news release.
The 18 arrests came Monday after three months of the investigation coordinated by the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit (CEACC) and the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

The statewide effort, called Operation MasqueRAID, included the execution of 44 search warrants in 31 counties on Monday. The searches targeted the most prolific child porn offenders. The GBI said 595 digital devices were seized in the sweep.
Additional charges are pending.

The operation was a coordinated effort including local, state and federal agencies. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office participated in the investigation.

- Jerry Griffin, 73, of Forsyth County
- Glasford Simpson, 36, of Gwinnett County
- David Hornick, 37, of Union County
