DCSSGA: Burnett Elementary School principal Marketa Croom has been nominated for the 2019-2020 national LifeChanger of the Year award.
Croom was nominated by an anonymous colleague for her incredible leadership. She is able to communicate her high expectations and standards for excellence in a way that ensures her staff, students, and parents feel inspired and encouraged.
Croom puts a high value on building relationships and shows everyone love, patience, and respect. She not only has this compassion for children, but an abundant amount of benevolence for the community and its needs. Croom will be the first to pitch in, whether it’s by beautifying the campus, cleaning a bathroom, or placing treats in the teachers’ lounge. She sees the positive aspects in everyone, regardless of their background.
