Douglas County School System Announces Plans To Makeup Snow Days
Douglas Schools will convert early release days to regular school full days to make up for seven days of missed time during bad weather.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA - Douglas County Schools will convert early release days to regular school full days to make up for seven days of missed instructional time due to inclement weather due to Hurricane Irma and two winter snow storms, reported the school system Monday.
"This decision was designed to provide all of our students with the highest level of instruction and to ensure all Douglas County students get the classroom time they need to graduate college and career ready," reads the report.
The following adjustments will be made to the 2017-18 Academic Calendar for the Douglas County School System:

-February 7, March 14, May 22 and May 23, previously scheduled half days, will now be full days of class instruction.
-All Spring GMAS and EOPA will move forward a week.

End of Course testing, previously scheduled for April 23 will take place one week later.
End of Grade testing, previously scheduled for April 16 will take place one week later.
June 1 and 4 have been added to the calendar as teacher professional development days.
