Douglas County Schools Closed For Remainder Of School Year

On April 1, Governor Kemp announced an executive order that schools in Georgia will stay closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

Students in the Douglas County School System will continue with digital learning. Plans are already in place for Digital Learning Phase II beginning April 13.
The new guidelines will provide more structure, accountability and consistency for teachers, students and parents.

Digital learning and meal distribution will not take place during spring break, April 6-10.
Beginning April 15, meal distribution will resume.
