Douglas County Tax, Tag Office Moving To New Location

The Douglas County Tax and Tag Office has announced it will officially close at noon Friday, June 22.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — The Douglas County Tax and Tag Office has announced it will officially close at noon Friday, June 22, and reopen on Tuesday, June 26, at 8 a.m. to allow time for moving to its new location at 6200 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, Ga. 30134. The Tax and Tag Office will be closed on Monday, June 25.

Douglas County’s tag renewal kiosk, located on the second, or main, floor of the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive, will also be relocating to the Fairburn Road new location, but the tag renewal kiosk, located at the Kroger grocery store located at 8501 Hospital Drive will continue to be available for customers and will be available on Monday, June 25.

Customers will be able to scan their Georgia driver’s license or enter registration information, then follow the easy-to-use touch-screen prompts to renew up to 10 vehicle registrations in as little as one minute.

The closure is intended to give ample time to set up offices, workstations and adequately prepare and be ready to serve the public Tuesday, June 26. The Tax and Tag office will continue to operate during the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for the general public. The tag office will continue to extend its hours on Tuesdays and close at 6:00 p.m. For further information, the public can call the Tax and Tag office at 770-920-7272.
