Douglasville Boy Meets $5,000 Goal in Thanksgiving Fundraiser

Beau Wilkins wants to prepare and donate 50 Thanksgiving meals.

A Douglasville boy has raised more than $5,000 in his effort to prepare and donate 50 Thanksgiving meals this season.

Beau Wilkins, 10, wants to “buy AND COOK turkeys and give them to families with children who cannot afford to cook a Thanksgiving meal,” mother Allison posted on a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for the boy’s cause.

“I asked my mom if everybody had turkeys on Thanksgiving and she said no,” Beau told My Fox Atlanta in a recent interview.
