Yoder Receives the Gerontology Alumni Endowed Scholarship
ATLANTA, GA -- Deborah Yoder of Douglasville (30135) was awarded the Gerontology Alumni Endowed Scholarship at the 2015 College of Arts and Sciences Honors Day Ceremony at Georgia State University. The Gerontology Alumni Endowed Scholarship is awarded to two entering graduate students. The scholarship is funded by the Gerontology Alumni Club.

Jacob King named to the Lincoln Memorial University Spring 2015 Dean’s List
HARROGATE, TN -- Jacob King, of Douglasville, GA (30135), has been named to the Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) Dean’s List for the Spring semester of 2015. To be placed on the Dean’s List, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

STATESBORO, GA -- Georgia Southern University recently held its annual spring commencement ceremonies for graduate and undergraduate students at Hanner Fieldhouse and Allen E. Paulson Stadium. University President Brooks A. Keel, Ph.D., conferred more than 3,300 graduate and undergraduate degrees during two separate ceremonies to accommodate the graduating classes.

ATLANTA, GA -- Johnathan McGhee of Douglasville was awarded the John Demos Memorial Scholarship at the College of Arts and Sciences 2015 Honors Day Ceremony. The John Demos Memorial Scholarship recognizes a junior, senior or incoming transfer student at the sophomore level or higher who demonstrates outstanding talent on a woodwind instrument and performs in two or more School of Music instrumental ensembles.
From Georgia State: McGhee Awarded Wurm Scholarship
ATLANTA, GA -- Johnathan McGhee of Douglasville was awarded the Charles T. Wurm Scholarship at the College of Arts and Sciences 2015 Honors Day Ceremony. The Charles T. Wurm Scholarship is awarded to a music major whose music ability and talents meet the current needs of the School of Music. The scholarship was endowed in 1985.
