Douglasville CVB Hosts Free Family Reunion Planning Workshop

Much planning goes into family reunions, and it’s never too early to start managing the details for your family event. The Douglasville Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) offers complimentary planning resources and helpful free services to make planning a family reunion in Douglasville both fun and easy.

On Saturday, Sept. 13 the Douglasville CVB will host a free family reunion planning workshop from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hunter Park’s Ike Owings Community Center in Douglasville. The workshop will feature an expo of vendors including entertainment, food and beverage, photography, event rental, promotional items and personalized gifts, hospitality, and venues.

“Family reunions are a lot of fun, but can require a great deal of time and commitment to be successful. Whether you are the family’s expert organizer or a first-time reunion planner, our workshop and services offered by the Douglasville CVB can help make reunion planning easier,” said Advertising and Promotions Manager Kizzy Howell.

Complimentary services offered by the CVB include assistance with locating and securing group hotel accommodations, free Douglasville Visitors Guides, area maps, attraction brochures and other tourist information, as well as welcome bags for groups booked at a Douglasville hotel, and free Douglasville Parks and Recreation Guides.

All pre-registered attendees will receive a complimentary reunion planner at the event; guests will also be entered in a drawing to win door prizes.
